Warranty on Workmanship:

12-month workmanship warranty covers installation faults or defects caused by DCD Solutions (Pty) Ltd. It does not cover issues due to third-party tampering, environmental damage, or misuse. Equipment that is subject to vandalism is not covered under this warranty.

Warranty on Equipment:

Equipment supplied carries a manufacturer’s warranty of up to 12 months. Selected products may offer extended warranties. Warranty terms follow manufacturer policy.

Payment Terms:

70% deposit required before work begins. 30% balance due promptly on completion. Equipment remains the property of DCD Solutions (Pty) Ltd until full payment is received.

Service Callouts and Repairs:

After the 12-month workmanship warranty, service callouts are charged at standard rates. Issues caused by third parties or external factors are billable even during the warranty period.

System Limitations and Liability:

At DCD Solutions (Pty) Ltd, we supply and install professional-grade security systems designed to significantly reduce the risk of loss, damage, or criminal activity. These systems greatly enhance safety, but no solution can guarantee complete prevention of such incidents.

We install all equipment in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications, and we take every reasonable step to ensure your system performs reliably. However, DCD Solutions (Pty) Ltd — including its employees, agents, and subcontractors — cannot be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or criminal activity that may occur after installation. This includes, but is not limited to, incidents caused by equipment failure, tampering, misuse, power outages, or other unforeseen factors beyond our control.

While we take pride in delivering quality systems and workmanship, the Client acknowledges that ultimate responsibility for securing the premises lies with them. Acceptance of our services constitutes agreement to indemnify and hold DCD Solutions (Pty) Ltd harmless from any related claims, damages, or losses.

We are here to support you in building a safer environment — and we’re always available to provide guidance, maintenance, and after-sales service where needed.

Client Responsibility:

Clients must provide safe, accessible premises. Any changes to installation must be communicated in advance. DCD Solutions (Pty) Ltd, its employees or any of its duly appointed agents will not be liable for any damage to water or gas pipes, electrical cables or damage to property, equipment or persons caused by the damaging of water or gas pipes and electrical cables if said water or gas pipes or electrical cables have not been indicated to us.

With regards to any router configuration, the client is to provide the administrative user name and password for us to make configuration changes. If router resets are needed due to these credentials not being on hand, additional labor time may be added for us to perform the reset.

Post-Installation Guidelines for Optimal System Performance:

To ensure your security systems continue operating at peak performance, please follow these guidelines:

Regular Testing: Periodically test your installed systems. For alarm systems, trigger different zones and confirm with your monitoring company that signals are being received correctly. For CCTV systems, make sure all your cameras are live by viewing them on the installed monitor or via the app. Test that your hard drive is working properly by viewing recordings on the installed monitor or via the app.

Monitor for Alerts: Pay close attention to any error messages or trouble warnings on your equipment. These are early indicators of potential issues.

Report Issues Promptly: Notify us immediately of any warnings or irregularities. Quick reporting allows us to resolve problems efficiently and maintain system integrity.

Schedule Routine Maintenance: Book periodic maintenance with us for tasks such as general system checks, CCTV lens cleaning, battery replacements, firmware updates, and more. Your vigilance helps us keep your system running smoothly and your property secure.

Media Use:

DCD Solutions ( Pty ) Ltd may document completed installations for quality assurance or promotional purposes. No identifiable personal or sensitive data will be shared. Clients may request not to have images of their property used publicly. No names or addresses are used on social media platforms.
